## Theory

The trigonometric ratios are developed from the T- triangle. Let theta be the counter-clockwise angle measured from the x-axis.

Sin theta is the ratio between Opposite and Hypotenuse:

Mathematically:

Sinθ = Opposite/Hypotenuse

The other five angles are explained as:

Cosθ = Adjacent/Hypotenuse

Tanθ = Opposite/Adjacent

Cosecθ = Hypotenuse/Opposite

Secθ = Hypotenuse/Adjacent
