Trignometric Calculator: Sine, Cos, Tan, Cosec, Sec, Cot

The trigonometric calculator provides a direct method to calculate trigonometry functions: Sin, Cos, Tan, Cosec, Sec and Cot of angles.

Precaution: The calculator provides two modes of calculation. One in degree and other in radian. While calculating be cautious to select the right scale for you. Choosing the wrong option will yield wrong results.

Theory

The trigonometric ratios are developed from the T- triangle. Let theta be the counter-clockwise angle measured from the x-axis.

Sin theta is the ratio between Opposite and Hypotenuse:

Mathematically:

Sinθ = Opposite/Hypotenuse

The other five angles are explained as:

Cosθ = Adjacent/Hypotenuse

Tanθ = Opposite/Adjacent

Cosecθ = Hypotenuse/Opposite

Secθ = Hypotenuse/Adjacent

Cotθ = Adjacent/Opposite
